Not every promise can be settled by a machine. “The dashboard reads well on a phone.” “The confirmation email looks right.” “The tone of the copy fits my brand.” A platform that stamps those green by itself is guessing — so Creator routes them to the one person qualified to judge: you.

How it reaches you

When a check is flagged as needing human judgment at the time it’s authored — because it’s subjective, visual, or involves something only you can see — it carries a NEEDS YOU stamp instead of a machine verdict. You’ll find these on the story’s receipts and in the Proof tab. The product is deliberately patient about when it asks. A story doesn’t flip to “waiting on you” the first time a machine check fails — your judgment is requested only once the automatic checks have genuinely done what they can. Your attention is spent where a machine can’t substitute for it, not on things a retry would have settled.

Recording a verdict

You confirm or reject the claim right where it’s shown. Your verdict is recorded with the date, and it renders as CONFIRMED · YOU — visibly distinct from the machine’s PROVED, so anyone reading the receipts can see how each promise was settled, not just that it was.

Your verdicts are durable

A verdict you record survives later verification passes — the platform won’t re-open a question you’ve already answered just because it re-ran its own checks. If the underlying behavior changes in a later round, the affected promises come back to you rather than silently inheriting your old answer.

Why this matters at publish time

On the publish screen, promises you confirmed count as held — to the person deciding whether to ship, a promise someone checked by hand is not an open question. The legend still names them separately, so the record stays honest about which checks were a machine’s and which were yours.
